Biography

Cristin brings a rare combination of clinical skill, operational leadership, and research depth to Houston Mind and Brain. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus in Business from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Houston, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude — a combination that shows up in how she works. As Practice Manager, Cristin is hands-on with patients as part of their care, while also running the operational side of the practice with an eye toward keeping both quality and access high.

Cristin believes that excellent mental healthcare should also be accessible mental healthcare. Recognizing that TMS is often out of reach for patients who are uninsured or underinsured, she helped develop and implement HMB's sliding scale program for TMS, working with Dr. Raymond Cho to open the door to treatment for patients who couldn't otherwise afford it.

She's just as involved in quality improvement, working closely with the clinical team to track patient outcomes across TMS and ketamine treatment and using that data to refine how care is delivered. She also partners with Dr. Cho to review emerging research and help decide which new advances are ready to bring into practice.



Her own research background runs deep, including hands-on neuroimaging experience from her time at Baylor and over a decade working alongside Dr. Cho on neurostimulation therapeutics, from TMS to tDCS. Within HMB's research program, she conducts detailed clinical and diagnostic assessments as part of that work, and cares about where the research is headed — better options for patients facing conditions like PTSD and treatment-resistant depression, which remain some of the hardest conditions to treat.
